MAINTAINING A SOLID FRONT
Every believer is engaged in the fight of FAITH. The fight of faith is not the type of fight where you fight to determine who will win or lose. No! It’s a fight with the outcome already determined in CHRIST. He won the victory through His death hence he is called the High priest of our confession. We enter this fight already declared winners.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12).
The word profession here is the same greek word for confession and it is the Greek word “Homologia.” This simply means coming into agreement with the Word of God and speaking the same in consent over your life.
Our fight is called the fight of faith. The realities of eternal life is made available and tangible to you in your fight of Faith. You do the laying hold on eternal life through your confession of faith. So this fight of faith is engaged to maintain the grounds JESUS has already won for you in His DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION. Glory! You will not lose your grounds to the devil. To do this, we must maintain a solid front.
Jesus is called the High Priest of our Confession. To appropriate and engage the blood for what Christ has done for us, we must maintain that confession. It’s our confession of faith and victory in Christ.
“Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
( Heb 3:1).
Our CHRISTIAN journey requires us maintaining a solid front if we have to win in life and destiny. If we are going to grow in Christ, we must present a solid front. It’s a solid front of our confession.
Colossians 2:5-For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. (Col 2:5).
The word order here is what we would refer to as a rigid rule, or regulative principle. So this scripture makes us understand that when it comes to our faith, we must have a rigid, solid and unmoveable and impreganable front which is our CONFESSION OF FAITH. You do not vacillate when it comes to our confession of faith. We must believe what God’s Word has said and declare it so over our lives.
Steadfastness here means solid front. We are required to maintain a solid front, impregnable to the enemy.
There is an order in the Spirit more like a military order which is manifested in a solid front. If we are going to have a solid front, we must have a great confession. Hallelujah!
This means your confession of faith must be consistent and don’t take a stand against the word of God. So we declare as our confession what the Word says I am. As you speak out the confession of faith, you making it possible for the Word to become real in your life and the Word therefore produces what He talks about. Never take a stand against God’s Word. Never speak negativity from your mouth. Any time you speak your fear and declare oh I don’t have that, I can’t do that… what it does to you is it damages you and destroys your abilities. The Lord is my shepherd hence I shall not want (Psalm 23:1)
Most believers don’t present a solid front in their prayers. They are so beggarly that satan always keeps buffeting them. But when you maintain a solid front, the enemy takes flight from you. Glory.
When you receive salvation in Christ, the next thing is to be taught the Word to have a clear understanding of the scriptures. Most people have a generic knowledge of the scriptures without really digging into the truth.
