THE BLESSING AND FRUITFULNESS OF GENESIS EXPLAINED IN CHRIST

The Old Testament which is also called the scriptures, which is from Genesis to Malachi is anticipation. The Gospels is the Manifestations, The Book of Acts is the Proclamation, the epistles are the Explanations and the Revelation is the Consummation.

The Bible is not a research material, it is a Christ material. 1 Timothy 3:15

Spiritual intelligence is a man’s ability to see Christ in the Bible from Genesis to Malachi. The Bible is to prove Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:9–12 (KJV 1900):

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. 10 Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into

Grace was actually what the prophets prophesied about. Christ is the full manifestation of the Grace of God.

Creation itself was a prophecy, Adam being put in a garden was a prophecy, Israel coming out of bondage, Entering the promised land, the Levitical priesthood and one great sacrifice ending all other sacrifices were prophecies.

The spirit of Christ in them was the Spirit of prophecy which was in them to testify of the Christ.

Revelation 19:10

Revelation 19:10 (KJV 1900): And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

The Spirit of Christ which was the Spirit of Prophecy which was in them.  The Spirit of Christ in them is the Spirit of Prophecy in them which caused them to prophecy about Jesus.

What did the prophets testify about Jesus? His suffering but another word for his suffering is his passion and death and the glory (resurrection) that should follow.

They had a revelation but the revelation they had was in prophecy. What they saw was not for our time but for their time.

We preaching the gospel are reporting what Christ did.

The scriptures referring to the OLD TESTAMENT books is looking at anticipation.

2 Timothy 3:15–16 (KJV 1900):

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, (Genesis-Malachi) which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The Holy Scriptures are able to make you spiritually intelligent. Until you begin to see Christ in the scriptures, you are not spiritually intelligent. This means your ability to see Christ in the scriptures meaning from Genesis to Malachi. It is able to give you wisdom into the matters of salvation. Hence you are able to see that salvation which is through faith in Jesus Christ.

In the Gospels, we see the manifestation of the anticipation:

2 Timothy 1:9–10 (KJV 1900): Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

His manifestation came through the incarnation. In the carnation, he manifests as flesh hence he is no more an anticipation but a manifestation. What the prophets had prophesied has now become a manifestation.

1 John 1:1–2 (KJV 1900): That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV 1900):

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

In the manifestation, we see Jesus who is God manifest in the flesh.

The four gospels gives us the manifestation of the anticipation.

What was manifested is now to be proclaimed. This is the proclamation of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is what is called the gospel. The gospel is the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV):

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (Genesis – Malachi) 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 says

“And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.”

Paul preached the finished work of Christ.

In the Epistles we see the explanation of the details of what happened in His death. It was in the epistles we see:

We have redemption in His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. If any man be in Christ, He is a New creation. We find this revelation of who we are in the Epistles. Without the explanation of the Epistles, the anticipation remains a mystery.

Romans 16:25–26 (KJV 1900): Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

It is in the epistles we find out what Christ is, who Christ is, what He has done in us and through us.

The EPISTLES bring an understanding and explanation of what has always been in the scriptures.

The book of Revelation brings us into the consummation of all things.

Ephesians 1:10

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

Genesis 1:14–18 (KJV 1900): And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

We are the lights of the earth and we give light to the earth. The greater light is actually Christ and we are the lesser lights. Christ gives light to the Day and we are called the children of the day so Christ gives light to the believer. We are the lights in the firmament. We give light to the Night. Our light shines in a dark world to bring salvation.

James 1:18 says

James 1:17 (KJV 1900): Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

God is called the Father of Lights. What does the father of lights give birth to? He gives birth to lights.

We see here that creation is explaining Redemption.

Genesis 1:1

God created heaven and the earth meaning He made two people available. Adam and Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:45 tells us that the first man was of the earth earthy, and the last Adam was from heaven. Simple, when God created the heaven and the earth, He made two people available.

Earth was without form and void representing the fallen man Adam. Darkness was in the heart of man and God said let there be light in verse 3.

This light was not the Sun. This Light was Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:4-6

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

When did God command the light to shine? Genesis 1:3

So where was this darkness? The darkness was in the heart of man. Darkness in Genesis 1:2 was the darkness in the heart of man in the fall. What was the solution for the fall of man.

The light commanded in Genesis 1:3 is the light of Christ in the heart of the fallen man. A sinner needs light in His heart to be saved. Darkness is in his heart.

When the gospel is preached, men see Jesus. The glory of God is in the face of Jesus.

Genesis 1:4

God saw the light and it was good. Another name for the Gospel is good news. The Light which was the gospel is good news. The gospel separates the Day from the Night.

When the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is preached, some will believe and some will not believe. Those who believe are separated from those who do not believe. Those who believe become light and those who do not believe remember darkness.

So when you are reading the epistles and you see lights, it refers to the believer.

Ephesians 5:8

Another name for darkness is sinner. We are enjoined to walk as children of light. So you are a child of light.

1Thessalonians 5:4-5

1 Thessalonians 5:5–6 (KJV 1900): Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others;

2 Corinthians 6:14–15 (KJV 1900): 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

Genesis 1:16 (KJV 1900): And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

We reflect Christ and so the lesser light and Christ the greater light. The lesser light must reflect Christ so that those living in darkness must also experience light.

Philippians 2:14–16 (KJV 1900): Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

We shine as light over unbelievers

We shine with our MESSAGE and our CHARACTER.

When God was talking to Abraham and said look at the dust of the earth, so shall your descendants be He was referring to Abraham’s seed according to the flesh and the stars are his spiritual seed.

Even stars point to Christ and the Church. 1Peter 2:9-10. The believer is his marvellous light.

Genesis 1:11,24-     James 1:18

Romans 8:29-

God was telling us that everything He created will reveal His glory after the kind of Christ.

Genesis 1:26–28 (KJV 1900):

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Man was created to look like Jesus

2 Corinthians 4:4

Jesus is the image of God. Everything about Adam was to be in the image of Christ.

Colossians 3:10

Genesis 5:3

Colossians 1:15

Jesus is the image of the invisible GOD. The image God wanted to create Adam into Christ’s image

Romans 5:14

Adam was a figure of Christ. So looking at Adam & Eve is to look at them in the image of Christ and His Church.

Adam – Christ

Eve – The Church

Ephesians 1:3

We read Genesis 1:28 in the light of Ephesians 1:3

Ephesians 1:3–4 (KJV 1900): Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Ephesians 1:5–7 (KJV 1900): Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
